This morning we went straight to Namesti Republiky to retrieve Jennifer’s lost camera. She was very relieved. We then went to the Hilton to meet with Mr. Deem. After contacting him we waited in the lobby for some time and met Norman and Sonny. They were a Husband and wife combo in their late seventies and early eighties from San Diego. After a bit of small travel talk they asked why we were here and where we were from. Of course recently Regent has been making headlines everywhere because of the Federal Prosecutor case. They were very excited that we supported such a great school. Sonny and I began to converse about our schools political affiliation. I told her that even though our University has a Government program we don’t have a particular affiliation. We choose our politicians as individual students and faculty based upon who ever had an agenda that paralleled Christ. She then revealed that she was Jewish and wondered how we treated Jews? …I have had Anti-Semantic conversations with many but never been asked about is by anyone Jewish. She was worried that we frowned upon the Jews. I told her that it is quite the contrary. I shared with her that we share the same beliefs, we hold the Old Testament as law, and however we believe that Christ was the Messiah they are longing to see. She asked if Regent was a group of proselytizers, I told her that is what we are called to do…We aren’t here cramming it down anyone’s throat but when an opportunity arises such as this, we share our beliefs. I told her that our New Testament supports without contradiction the prophecies of the coming Messiah in the OT. I gave her a few examples but when I told her that one of the prophecies was the similarities of Moses and Jesus. She became interested. I told her both were to be killed as infants, faith saved both of their lives, both sought protection in Egypt, both at a time were rejected by Israel at some point, both faces shone with glory of the Lord, suffered for their people, spoke to God in person, and had angels present after their deaths. The conversation was cut short…but I hope it resonated. We then took a boat ride up and down the Vltava River. Tired after this we went to take a nap. We were woken by a phone call, it was Jason, I man we met at the airport. He invited us to meet him (from Michigan) and his wife (who is Czech). Jennifer and I went to meet them. Prague is beautiful at night. Having someone to speak the language and give you tips on travel, the do’s and don’ts as well as the patience with English is a big plus. We ate a pickled cheese and Goulash. Had a few Mojito’s and headed home. The four big highlights….One God definitely delivered; we needed to have an article placed in the paper describing what we are trying to offer while here in Prague….she works as a financial editor of a local Prague paper! Another, her brother loves Americans and happens to be a taxi driver. Third, they will be living here while we are here; fourth they explained the tram system to us. Now we understand the Metro and the trams…cut down on much walking. Coming home, Jennifer and I thought we were on the 3rd floor…not so much! We walked down what appeared to be our hallway and realized our key wasn’t letting us in. I realized this is not our floor (keep in mind much of this building is being renovated) and started heading back. The glass door to the hallway was locked shut and we were trapped like two hamsters in a glass aquarium. We had no signal to call out; Chris was sleeping in the apartment, and there were not occupants living on this floor. What does any hamster do when it is tired of being in the aquarium? It scratches at the sealant. I began to remove the sealant and shims to the door to remove the glass face. The fire extinguisher crashing through it was a last resort…a Czech jail didn’t sound appeasing for property damage. Upon dismantling the door (handle and lock was broken) an English man happens to come up to that floor on his way home and let us out! Free at last!

A little note: when somebody writes a note, he or she is not seeing what he or she is writing. Right now, I’m NOT seing ANYTHING as I’m writing. Evertying is blank. Apparently, the the font color is White and, since the baackground is also white, we can’t see anything.
Chequeén eso, por favor. Gracias. =)

You can just type it in a word document, then cut / paste it into the comments block.
That works best for me.
